Landscape

I chose to shoot these photos right by the Berkley Bridge out at the field. (The last picture is from Horseneck Beach.) I am very close to the reeds in the foreground of the picture but about seventy-five yards away from the island of trees further off in the distance. In the middle ground there is a lot of snow and a grouping of trees. In the background there is the sky with the clouds hovering over the sun, almost blocking it out of sight. I took the photo standing up right and straight on. My photo is horizontal and there is line in the reeds in the foreground along with pattern. The sky with the puffy clouds and the pointy reeds show texture. The lighting was perfect because the sunlight was dimmer due to the covering of the clouds and that is what attracted me to take this picture, it also looks very good with the grouping of trees right beneath the sun. My photograph shows that this place can look pretty, serene and completely natural in the winter even though it becomes fields of corn when the students grow it in the spring.
