    Reflection Assessment

I took my first photo in my brother's sunglasses, the second in my mother's rear window of her car, the third in the dashboard and front windshield of my dad's car and the fourth in the side mirror of my dad's car on the highway. The last two images are my favorites and were taken in the birdbath outside my house in the front yard. In these photographs, the leaves and trees from over the birdbath are reflecting within its water along with a little bit of the center red leaf where it curves up near the stem. With the red leaf I managed to get the leaf itself and a some of its reflection, other than that the tree where it fell from lies outside the borders of the photos. I took each photo from a standing position but angled it so that my camera got the right reflection, focused and clear. I think the photo is visually interesting and I hope others agree; I think it is beautiful how the leaves and trees from which the leaves fell are above the photo and also in the reflection, its almost as if saying "the leaf doesn't fall far from the tree." I would like a viewer to see my photo and just appreciate how pretty it is with the birdbath and fall leaves. I also like how the dry part of the birdbath is a completely different color than the part soaked with rain water and covered in leaves and reflections. But looking past the beauty and deep into the reflection, you see where the leaves came from and it is almost like showing the family and background to which the leaves belong. (If the leaf were a human, its reflection is showing the family and friends, being all the other leaves, and how the leaves may have gone off into the world but they are still a part of their families as their families are a part of them.)
